Indonesia Visa Options

There are a few options for individuals who wish to live and work in Indonesia for an extended period of time.

  • Tourist Visa: This is a common option for digital nomads, as it allows individuals to stay in Indonesia for up to 60 days and can be extended for an additional 30 days. However, this visa does not allow individuals to work or engage in business activities while in Indonesia.
  • Business Visa: This visa is intended for individuals who plan to conduct business activities in Indonesia, such as signing contracts, opening a bank account, or attending business meetings. The visa can be valid for up to one year and can be extended. It is suitable for those who want to set up a company or do business in Indonesia.
  • KITAS (Temporary Stay Permit): This is a long-term visa that allows individuals to stay in Indonesia for up to 2 years and can be extended for up to 4 years. It requires the sponsor from the company or an Indonesian citizen.

It’s always a good idea to consult with Indonesian embassy or immigration office in your country of residence for more information and updates.

Note: The Indonesian government may change visa requirements and regulations at any time, so it’s always important to check the most current information before planning your trip.
